Ideally nestled in Altona, which is an upscale borough that includes the neighborhood of the same name, known for a boisterous Sunday market inside the glass-roofed, 19th-century Fish Auction Hall, the hotel offers proximity to the long Reeperbahn Boulevard, which is merely 5 minutes' walk away. The Lafayette Hamburg is about 400 metres from the circular plaza "Beatles-Platz" and within a 3-km distance of the Alster.
